FIVE
Gather. Pray. Go.
At HOPECITY, we believe the church exists for the good of the city.
Every 5th Sunday, we pause our normal rhythm to do something simple and intentional and go serve our city together.
Not to be noticed.
Not to check a box.
But to love people well—right where they are.
What Is “FIVE”?
FIVE is a recurring rhythm at HOPECITY that happens whenever the calendar gives us a 5th Sunday.
Instead of going to a traditional Sunday service, we come together to serve our city in practical, meaningful ways.
Church doesn’t stop at the doors. It moves into the city.
What to Expect
Gather
We show up.
Pray
We pray specifically for our city, the people we’ll encounter, and the places we’re going—then go.
Go
We head out to serve with clarity, compassion, and no pressure.
How We Serve
Each 5th Sunday has one clear focus so serving feels purposeful, not overwhelming.
Our focus areas may include:
Neighbors & Neighborhoods
Educators & Schools
Seniors
Families & Kids
City Workers & First Responders
Projects are simple, relational, and hands-on—things like:
Community cleanups
Appreciation drop-offs
Yard help and practical support
Prayer walks
Acts of generosity and kindness
No matter the project, our posture stays the same: humble, present, and expectant.
Who Is This For?
This is for everyone.
Whether you’re brand new to HOPECITY or have been around for years, there’s a place for you. Some serve with their hands, some through prayer, some behind the scenes.
You don’t need the right words.
You don’t need experience.
Just a willing heart.
Why We Do This
Because faith was never meant to stay inside a building.
We believe small acts of love—done consistently—can change the atmosphere of a city. Serving isn’t about fixing people; it’s about seeing them.
“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16
